Argentina will be without bruising loose forward Marcos Kremer for their battle with the Springboks for the Rugby Championship title on Saturday.

Kremer limped off in the second half of Argentina’s 29-28 victory over the Springboks in Santiago del Estero, which made the final round clash with the world champions in Nelspruit a Rugby Championship title decider.

The 27-year-old enforcer was replaced by hooker Ignacio Ruiz during the match, as Argentina had already used their loose forward replacement.

Kremer was not included by Filipe Contepomi in the 28-man squad that travelled with the Springboks to South Africa.

Juan Martin González, Pablo Matera, Santiago Grondona, and Joaquín Oviedo are the loose forwards available for Contepomi to select against the Boks.

Meanwhile, the Springboks reported a clean bill of health on Monday, with six senior players – Bongi Mbonambi, Frans Malherbe, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Damian de Allende, Cheslin Kolbe and Willie le Roux – returning to the squad after being rested for the trip to Argentina.
