Match day at the Hollywoodbets Sharks vs Munster Rugby game on 26 October was a spectacular event, bringing together thousands of eager rugby fans. With a total of 17 086 tickets sold, including event sales, comps and season tickets, the match attracted a near-full crowd and a 94% stadium capacity. This impressive turnout comes after we increased our average ticket price from R73 to R143. We also saw a rate of sale improvement, with 75% of tickets being sold before match day.
Fans enjoy more than just a great game of rugby at Hollywoodbets Kings Park. We’ve worked hard to enhance the overall fan match day experience beyond just the action on the field. This year, we’ve added a lively MC, a DJ booth, incredible live performances from leading South African artists, spectacular fireworks, and so much more to ensure the energy on the stadium is electric from start to finish.
From a stadium perspective, we’ve also added new and improved bathroom facilities, as well as enhanced security to protect fan safety. We’ve also introduced a steward programme to help fans find their seats easier.
