Junior action in the SA Rugby Under 19 and Under 21 Cup resumes this weekend after a break last week with the Hollywoodbets Sharks representative sides taking on their Golden Lions counterparts in Johannesburg on Friday.

It’s still early days in the SA Rugby Under 19 Cup, with just three rounds having been completed in the six-team competition, with the Hollywoodbets Sharks Under 19s currently well-placed in third spot on the log.

Like their under 21 seniors, Head Coach Jeremy Mclaren’s under 19s have a tough outing against the unbeaten Lions, but as in every difficult circumstance, the challenge is laid down to beat the best.
Meanwhile, it’s the penultimate weekend of SA Rugby Under 21 Cup pool stage rugby where the Hollywoodbets Sharks Under 21s need just one log point from their final two matches to secure a top four finish, currently 10 clear of the Leopards who they host at Hollywoodbets Kings Park next weekend.
A 25-19 victory over the Blue Bulls two weeks ago in their last match will go a long way in instilling confidence for JP Pietersen’s team.

The Under 19 teams meet on Friday at 11am at Emirates Airline Park followed by the match between the respective under 21 teams at 1pm.
